Ajmer school principal suspended after alleged misconduct with Class 12 student

Ajmer: A government school principal in Ajmer district has been suspended after a Class 12 student’s family accused him of inappropriate behaviour with the girl and showing her objectionable photographs on his mobile phone. The order was released late on Monday.

The incident allegedly took place on August 14 at the government senior secondary school in Kadsel. The education department, in its suspension order, said the principal, Sushil Kumar Rinwa, had allegedly made inappropriate gestures towards the student and shown her objectionable photographs.

The student’s family subsequently approached the Pushkar police, and an FIR was registered on August 17 under Sections 74, 75(2) and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The department has suspended Rinwa effective immediately and will conduct a departmental inquiry. During the suspension, his headquarters will be the office of the District Education Officer (Secondary) in Barmer.
