Viral video: 2 Baran school staffers attached to DEO office pending probe

Jaipur: Two staff members of Government Senior Secondary School, Kishanganj, have been attached to the District Education Officer’s office after a video allegedly showing them engaging in “objectionable acts” during school hours went viral.

An order issued by the District Education Officer (Secondary), Baran, on August 24 names Simran Kalra, an English lecturer, and Akshat Vaishnav, a laboratory assistant, in connection with the viral video.

The department has ordered an inquiry into the matter and directed both employees to report to the DEO office at 9.30am on August 25, pending completion of the inquiry. The school principal has also been directed to ensure compliance with the order.

The order states that the video allegedly shows the two employees engaging in objectionable behaviour during school hours. However, the document does not provide further details about the video, how it was recorded or circulated, or the nature of the alleged conduct.

The department has not reached any final conclusion in the matter. The inquiry will determine the facts and whether any action is warranted.
