Jaipur: Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya, Jaipur student Padmja Singh of Class VIII-D has won a bronze medal at the Yonex-Sunrise Rajasthan Sub Junior State Badminton Championships 2026, held in Udaipur from August 22 to 27.

The 13-year-old competed in the Under-17 category, finishing third in the championship organised by the Udaipur District Badminton Association under the aegis of the Rajasthan Badminton Association. She was also presented with a Certificate of Merit for her performance.

According to the school, Padmja was the only medal winner in her 13-year-old age group, making her performance particularly notable as she competed against players in the higher U-17 category.

Her success provides an encouraging example of young school athletes competing at the state level and taking on challenges beyond their age category.
