Jaipur: With students spending increasing time online for learning, communication and entertainment, a cybersecurity awareness workshop was organised at Mayo College Girls’ School to sensitise them about digital threats and responsible online behaviour.
Additional SP Priyanka Kumawat, Dy SP Shamsher Khan, Programmer Devendra Saloni and Head Constable Hitendra Bagri led the session and interacted with students on various aspects of cyber safety.
The session focused on the changing nature of cyber threats and the need for students to remain alert while using digital platforms. The officials also discussed safe online practices and responsible digital behaviour, encouraging students to think carefully before sharing information or responding to content online.

The workshop went beyond basic precautions such as protecting passwords and devices, stressing the importance of judgement and awareness in the digital environment. Students were encouraged to understand what information should be shared, what needs to be questioned or verified and what personal details must be protected.
The speakers also highlighted the importance of pausing and thinking before taking any action online, particularly when faced with suspicious messages, links or requests.
The programme underlined that cybersecurity is not only about technology but also about responsible digital citizenship, awareness and informed decision-making.
